Our Website

The Office of the Treaty Commissioner's website can be found at www.otc.ca.  It is filled with valuable resources to help people learn more about the significance of treaties.  The Teacher's Login area has many of the K-12 Treaty Kit resource materials available online.  Educators wanting entry to the Teacher's Login will need a user name and password.  Please email kdreavercharles@credenda.net and include your school name and the grade or subject you teach.  If you or your colleagues would like temporary entry to the Teacher's Login use otc01 for both the user name and password.

Elluminate Treaty Hour

Tuesday, January 19, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm CST.

This live online learning session will focus on ideas for teachers in classrooms with students who have had limited previous treaty experience.  The session will be led by Susan Beaudin.

To enter the OTC's Elluminate Treaty Hour click here and type in your name and email address.  You need to have Java installed on your computer.

Need Your Own Treaty Kit?

treaty kit image.jpgThe Office of the Treaty Commissioner is pleased to present a chance for you to win a treaty kit. We want you to design an original classroom activity to share with K-12 teachers based on The Teaching Treaties in the Classroom resources. Include your name, the name of your activity, grade level, theme, topic, materials needed and procedure for your classroom activity. Photos would be great to see too! All activities will be posted on our OTC Treaty Teacher Wikispace to share with other treaty teachers. For ideas on where to start go to the OTC Treaty Teacher Wikispace Make n' Take activities. The deadline for submissions is January 29, 2010. Submissions or questions may be emailed here.
