Catalyst Teachers
Did you know that there are 115 catalyst teachers throughout the province currently working to provide support and encouragement to teachers as they incorporate treaty education into their classrooms. Their primary role is to provide leadership and expertise at the school/division level in the support of their colleagues as they teach treaties. If you would like to know who your catalyst teacher is contact your school division central office or tribal council.
Looking to the Future
As we look to the future at the Office of the Treaty Commissioner we plan to continue using technology to support educators as they teach treaties in their classrooms. Our Wikispace will continue to grow and shift its focus to include grades 7 to 12 materials. We also look forward to continuing to go out to schools and school divisions while providing workshops to support the growth of treaty education. We hope that our website will continue to offer valuable resources and information needed to support educators.
