New on the OTC Treaty Teacher Wikispace

The OTC Treaty Teacher Wikispace has new Make n' Take lesson plans and a second novel study.  Look for the New Item symbol identifying recently added items.  Many of the new Make n' Take lessons added have been adapted from the themes and topics for one grade to be used in another grade or multi grades.  Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of each grades page to view these adapted lessons.  The high school level novel study based on the book Touching Spirit Bear can also be accessed by going to the Novel Studies page.

National Aboriginal Day

June 21 is National Aboriginal Day.  It is a day for all Canadians to learn more about and celebrate Canada's Aboriginal people.  Go to the Indian and Northern Affairs Canada website and click on the On-line Order Form link to order National Aboriginal Day promotional products for your classroom.  Bookmarks, posters, puzzles, classroom kits and more are available.  There is no cost and the deadline for ordering is June 10.
