Thank You
During 2010-2011 the Office of the Treaty Commissioner enjoyed a successful and productive year. This is due in large part to our colleagues and partners across the province and country. Thank you.
Our two major priorities are livelihood and education. Although we engage in many activities, I will highlight a couple. Our livelihood initiative made significant progress. One element of that work was the establishment of our treaty relationship with a number of major businesses. Through those partnerships we assisted businesses create an organizational climate conducive to First Nations employee success. On the treaty education front, we are pleased to see that students across the province continue to improve in their knowledge of treaties. We consistently find that students who report receiving instruction on treaties achieve statistically significant better results on the treaty survey. We are confident that with your support, we are on the road to building better harmony for all people of Saskatchewan.
Thank you to the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations, the Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan for their spiritual, organizational, and financial support.
On behalf of the Office of the Treaty Commissioner, thank you for your support -- and best wishes in the year to come.
We Are All Treaty People
Honourable Bill McKnight, PC
