Lamarr Oksasikewiyin

Lamarr Oksasikewiyin is from Sweetgrass First Nation. He has taught in various schools across the province, as well as the Education Consultant for The Office of the Treaty Commissioner. He has presented on Traditional Games for FSIN Science, as well as Aboriginal Awareness workshops for the Saskatchewan Teacher’s Federation. He has presented for the Northern Lights school division and the Language Keepers Conference. Lamarr is currently teaching at Senator Myles Venne School for Lac La Ronge Indian Band. Lamarr focuses on presenting on Treaties and answering any questions regarding Treaties. By making people comfortable through humour, Lamarr creates an atmosphere where myths and misconceptions can be addressed. With visual aids such as powerpoints, replica Treaty Medals, and short activities Lamarr offers a wide variety in his presentations.
