Originally from the Poundmaker First Nation, Lionel has worked with SIGA steadily since 2001. His career with SIGA is a remarkable example of how hard work and a commitment to learning, can lead to great career and personal success.
Since 2001, Lionel has worked as a Human Resource Officer Program Manager of Planning & HRMIS, Assistant General Manager, and Phase Leader for the Casino Development teams for Dakota Dunes Casino and Living Sky Casino. Presently, Lionel continues his work with SIGA as the General Manager of Living Sky Casino, which is located in Swift Current just off the #1 Trans-Canada Highway.
Throughout Lionel’s time at SIGA, he has consistently advanced his knowledge and skills by participating on many different committees and taking part in many learning and development opportunities. He currently serves on the Southwest Enterprise Region Board and the Swift Current Tourism Board. Being active and a part of the community is important to Lionel as he sits on committees, devotes much time assisting others as an Elders helper, and maintains a healthy lifestyle through sports, singing and dancing at pow wows and other cultural events.
