Experience making your own Métis capote during a one-day workshop. The Gabriel Dumont Institute is pleased to present this important part of their cultural expression, especially this winter.

The workshop beings with a brief history session about the Hudson's Bay Company and the history of the point blanket. Then you will get your creative juices going as you determine how your capote will be designed with fringe, no fringe, length, buttons or sash.

The workshop includes all of the supplies including the blanket, sewing supplies and lunch.

Workshop fee is $325 and must be prepaid at the time of registration with the Gabriel Dumont Institute.
