Join the Aboriginal Student Centre for their first Indigenous Scholars Speaker Series lecture of 2020! Wednesday January 22, 1:00 - 2:30 PM. Everyone welcome, no pre-registration required.

Dr. Verna St. Denis is a Professor of Education at the University of Saskatchewan where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Integrated Anti-Racist Education in the Department of Educational Foundations. She is both Cree and Mêtis and is a member of the Beardy’s and Okêmâsis First Nation. She is also both an alumni of and former teaching staff of Indigenous Teacher Education Programs in Saskatchewan. She completed her Ph. D. in Education at Stanford University (2002). She has been bestowed many awards, including 2004 University of Saskatchewan Students Union Excellence in Teaching and 2011 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in the College of Education.

The Indigenous Scholars Series is coordinated in partnership with the ASC and Department of Indigenous Studies, University of Saskatchewan.
