The Office of the Treaty Commissioner is proud to provide aspiring and seasoned educators with a learning experience encompassing information, processes and resources to successfully teach Treaties to students.

Teaching Treaties in the Classroom will be comprised of two phases.

Phase One will focus on the following outcomes:
1. Provide guidance to teach the chronology of Treaties
2. Uphold the Spirit and Intent of Treaties
3. Increase capacity to teach on Treaty breaches
4. Promote the message of resilience of Indigenous people

Attendance at all four sessions is required

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one hour lunch break at noon (not provided)
