To continue the conversation on reconciliation between the Catholic Church and Indigenous Peoples of Canada, the Office of the Treaty Commissioner executive director Harry Lafond met with the Nuncio to Canada.

In early November, Lafond travelled to present to Nunciature staff about the meaning of the Treaty relationship and the state of Indigenous communities’ relationship to the settler communities.

During the final evening, there were conversations with representatives from Canada, Mexico and the justice system. They talked about the status of the justice system and Indigenous people and efforts of the OTC to connect with the newcomer community.
