The Office of the Treaty Commissioner is dedicated to making Saskatchewan residents more knowledgeable about Treaties with the goal of improving relations between all Saskatchewan communities. The Speaker's Bureau is made up of approximately 25 appointed members.
They speak on topics key to reconciliation including First Nations culture, residential school experiences, Treaties and the Treaty relationship, doing business with First Nation communities. They are also able to lead conversations in what reconciliation means.
Members are appointed based on knowledge as well as their ability to present material in an engaging, but unbiased and neutral manner. All members have a wide range of experience and knowledge and are made available to the public for presentations.
