Dakota Elders traditional Knowledge Keepers and the chief of the Wahpeton Dakota Nation have guided the work in this book. This book is dedicated to these Knowledge Keepers, past and present.
It is threw these Knowledge Keepers that the Oral Tradition of the Dakota has survived through the generations.
We are thankful that they shared their knowledge and reconciliations of the stories contained within the book. It is the wisdom of the Knowledge Keepers that the community members hope will be passed on to the future generations.
