On Thursday, September 28, First Nations University of Canada will be hosting a Community Smudge Walk and Lunch in honour of Residential School Survivors and the children who did not make it home. The walk and the lunch are open to the public, and there is no charge for anyone participating. This is an important event for the extended university community in recognition of Truth and Reconciliation Day.

The day will include a traditional pipe ceremony at 8:30am – everyone welcome, the Smudge Walk from 9:30am to 11am, drumming, singing, and presentations at 11am, and the free community lunch at 12pm.
