National Truth and Reconciliation Day: Acknowledge, Reflect, Learn, Connect

There is a gathering on Friday, Sept. 29th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm to hold a program in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Please meet at the highschool track to hear a speaker talk about his residential school experience, followed by the Digging Bear Drumming Circle and a Round Dance. Then the group will march to the Memorial Garden on Main strret, downtown Melfort for some closing remarks, a handshake circle, and fellowship and refreshments. There will be signage at the Memorial Garden showing why we mark National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a summarized version of the Calls to Action, and some orange shirts will be hanging.
