Film has Saskatchewan connection

A new film screening in Vancouver Mar.18, has a Saskatchewan connection.
Ahtahkakoop’s Cree Nation’s Curtis Ahenakew stars in the short film Sister, Daughter.
In the film a young man enlists the help of his alcoholic father to search for their missing Sister, Daughter. The movie deals with the topics of alcoholism, grief, and Missing and Murdered Women in Canada
It’s directed by and features Nathaniel Arcand, alongside Ahenakew, and introduces Amanda Murray.
Sister, Daughter won Best Live Short at the American Indian Film Awards in San Francisco in November 2016.
