The Saskatchewan Libraries Association is using its 75th anniversary to talk Reconciliation by hosting Saskatchewan’s first province-wide community book club.

The One Book, One Province initiative lasts through March. The SLA wants everyone in the province to read Augie Merasty: A Residential School Memoir, by Joseph Auguste Merasty with David Carpenter.

With the passing of Merasty in late February, One Book, One Project events have also become memorials to Merasty’s life and "a testament to the impact of his writing on the national conversation," said the Prince Albert Daily Herald.

"At just under 100 pages, this little book only takes a few hours to read, but Augie’s story will stay with you," reads the SLA website. On the site is further information about the project as well as dates and times of upcoming events.
