The Treaty Commissioner of Saskatchewan, Mary Musqua-Culberton, and some of the OTC team were so pleased to be able to attend the Treaty 4 Gathering.

Every year the week-long Gathering happens in Fort Qu’Appelle, bringing together people from the nations of the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council and non-Indigenous communities.

The Treaty 4 Gathering celebrates and honours the 1874 signing of Treaty 4 - 2023 marks 149 years since the signing.

One of the highlights is the parade, this year members of the OTC speakers’ bureau could be spotted on the floats. There are also feasts, learnings, ceremonies, and elders’ teachings.
