The Office of the Treaty Commissioner’s Speakers Bureau is dedicated to making Saskatchewan residents more knowledgeable about Treaty history, the Treaty relationship, and Treaty responsibilities as a Treaty person.

The speakers bureau is comprised of more than 30 appointed knowledge keepers.

They visit schools, organizations and offices to give presentations on Treaty and Reconciliation including First Nations culture, residential school experiences, language systems, and more

Speaker bureau director Amy Seesequasis also speaks as a member of the bureau. On Jan. 21, she spoke at to the International Women’s Association’s Links to Employment program in a session on Fulfilling the Spirit and Intent of Treaty: Reconciliation Through Treaty Awareness and Cultural Understanding.

“The group was very eager to learn about the History of Treaties and their Indigenous Treaty partners, and took pride in knowing they are Treaty people with roles and responsibilities as Treaty partners,” said Seesequasis.

“It was a great afternoon of discussing and examining our shared history.”

To request a presentation, please fill out the Book a Speaker form, and the office will get back to you as soon as possible.
