This week we are recognizing the importance of Treaties in Saskatchewan and each day we are walking you through the Treaty timeline: Before Treaty; At Treaty; After Treaty; and Today.

Today the process of reconciliation in Canada to repair the Treaty Relationship and see the full implementation of Treaty is underway through initiatives like the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and tackling myths and misconceptions.

Treaty Commissioner Mary Musqua-Culbertson speaks about Treaty today in this video wrapping up Treaties Recognition Week.

We also have messages from the students of Grade 5 Class at École Lumsden Elementary
