The Treaty Commissioner of Saskatchewan was pleased to attend the Women of the Dawn’s Banquet and Karaoke Fundraiser at the Regina Performing Arts Centre on Nov. 22.

The event honoured several people for community service including Grand Chief Brian Hardlotte, Chief Tammy Cook-Searson, Chief Norma Catarat, Mary Desjarlais-George, Carol Naytohow, Inez Dieter, and Isabelle Keepness, alongside veterans and veteran’s widows.

Women of the Dawn is a grassroots, non-profit organization working with urban first Nations women in the pursuit of self-reliance and social and economic self-sufficiency.
