The Yorkton Brick Mill Heritage Society is furthering their work towards reconciliation by hosting Indigenous Tuesday Teachings as part of Saskatchewan’s Culture Days.

At the end of September, the society held a drum group with traditional song and dance demonstration.

These Culture Days activities at the Mill continue every Tuesday in October from 5 to 7 pm.

October 5: Treaty 4 Bingo;
October 12: Beading workshop;
October 19: Importance of picking herbs, sage and sweetgrass braiding;
October 26: Bannock making.

Elders will open each day with prayer, tobacco and smudging, and a cultural teaching.
