Take the Treaty Learning Journey
The Office of the Treaty Commissioner’s Treaty Learning Journey: Let’s Talk Truth continues to grow in popularity.
It is a journey that walks participants through Canada’s true history with First Nations People, starting with Before Treaty and going to today. Topics include Indigeneity, numbered Treaties, breaches of Treaty, and contemporary Treaty issues.
We continue to hear feedback from participants that they just didn’t know about the experiences of Indigenous people. That this training has opened their eyes to a true history of Canada and increased their understanding of modern issues being faced by Indigenous communities.
While individuals, organizations, workplaces, groups, or faith communities can organize a training directly with OTC, we often host public events.
Coming up in October, the OTC will host the Treaty Learning Journey: Let’s Talk Truth Conference that will bring people together to learn, share, and grow their knowledge.
The TLJ conference runs the evening of the 23 (registration, UNDRIP session and networking), all day on October 24 and 25. Please contact us should you have any questions.
